I’m not convinced that every single service in the health care field should be provided by a government employee [....] I am a guy who believes that the private sector offers some competitive advantages in a number of areas and does a better job in some cases than government does.
It's one thing to argue that we need to improve how the government provides health care. It's another thing entirely to argue, like Pallister does, that we should turn caring for one another into a for-profit business venture.
Do Manitobans want private corporations to profit from our suffering? I sure as hell hope not.
